Back at TW, Daniel gave an educational talk about the history of SL in one of the beach classrooms. Pretty relaxing way to learn, right?
mmm.. dinner!
here.. we are playing Spoons! fun times @ TW!
We all set out with our glowing bracelets for a turtle party way down the beach where a nest had been discovered earlier in the day. This one of only a couple survivors that we witnessed. Many of the turtles were snatched up by the crabs before they could get to the water. I hope many more got to the water and we were just too late! This was the first of two nests that were hatching during our stay.
The lucky one!
Breakfast!
fearless! I wouldn't have picked one of these up but they must know better!
Jellyfish party!
Bucket shower in the honey dome. The bucket showers were THE showers we had for washing. The water used for the showers came from the well… makes you realize how much water we use at home and how much we could be saving! These showers felt pretty good!

Once a week the kids from the local school come to TW for an afterschool program. The first week we were there Jess taught them about turtles and had some worksheets for them to read and color. After the educational part, everyone heads to the beach for some fun! Kat led everyone in some yoga, dancing and duck, duck, goose!
