I think he knew his picture was being taken! We were standing on the second floor of a building not too far away. Luckily I had my zoom lens with me to capture these shots. We were told to stand behind a net because sometimes the chimps throw rocks at the visitors!

a couple times a week some guys would come and set up some things for us to buy. This was very convenient but we definitely paid for it! Still the prices were great, but more than Freetown. We all stocked up on many items.

Earth dome building!
This series of 3 domes is called "The Wall" - 2 completed domes were in use while we were there - the honey dome, where Chrissy stayed (has it's own toilet and shower) and our earth dome. The Wall was completed shortly after we left and we got to help with some building and mudding.

Besides the domes, tribe members can also stay in tents - not a bad view to wake up to is it!? Mattresses and sheets are provided.

We visited the Craig Bellamy Foundation (http://www.craigbellamyfoundation.org/). I had brought some supplies that I got from the education department at Kennedy Space Center. Each student (19 of them) were provided with a kit to make a bristle bot. The boys did really well and they raced the bots once everyone was done building. They had some great questions about space and robots too!

One of the boys with his bristle bot. (it was the fastest)

These shacks are very close in design to the ones at TW - I believe that staff from the Bellamy school stay in these.

After the robot building the boys had their second practice of the day… and we watched for a while - they are pretty amazing.
